The Macroeconomics group at CEMFI specializes in a wide range of theoretical and empirical topics related to economic development and misallocation, fiscal and monetary policy, firm dynamics, international macroeconomics, labor and family economics, macro-finance, and structural change. Members of the group are affiliated with other research centers and networks, such as the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). The group has hosted several ERC grants, members of the group have obtained several prizes and other distinctions. The group runs a weekly seminar series with internationally renowned external speakers, plus a work-in-progress workshop where faculty and PhD students present their work.
