We are very pleased to welcome Natalia Fabra as a full Professor at CEMFI, effective June 1, 2025.

Natalia Fabra is a Professor of Economics specializing in Industrial Organization, with a focus on Energy and Environmental Economics, as well as Regulatory and Competition Policy. She earned her PhD in Economics from the European University Institute (Florence) in 2001.

She received the 2014 Sabadell-Herrero Award for the best young Spanish economist and the 2014 Julián Marías Award for the best young researcher in the Humanities and Social Sciences in the Community of Madrid.

She is the founder and director of EnergyEcoLab and Principal Investigator of the ERC Advanced Grant "ENERGY-IN-TRANSITION" (2025–2030) and the ERC Proof of Concept Grant "NextENERGEIA" (2023–2025).
