15 April 2024
Diego Puga has obtained a project funded by the European Research Council (ERC) in the Advanced Grant modality. The title of the project is "City buzz: Quantity, quality, and variety implications of the urban environment". This research project aims to understand the changing landscape of cities. It examines variations in the quantity, quality and diversity of face-to-face interactions in different spatial contexts. It isolates the effects of the urban environment from personal characteristics by studying individual changes in the aftermath of crises. The project also investigates differences in consumption between places.
Advanced Grants of up to EUR 2.5 million can be awarded for a period of 5 years.
An Advanced Grant can cover up to 100% of the total eligible direct costs of the research, plus a contribution of 25% of the total eligible indirect costs.
