Between the first and second year, CEMFI organizes Summer Internships for interested students. The aim of the Internships is to apply some of the skills acquired in different courses to topics relevant for the institution that welcomes the student. Most students are placed in financial institutions, consulting firms, and public sector departments. For many of them this constitutes their first work experience. More academically oriented students collaborate as research assistants for a project of a faculty member. In either case, the Internship sometimes provides inspiration for the topic of the student’s Master thesis.
