The students of the latest two cohorts have been hired by several types of institutions: financial companies such as BBVA, Banco Popular, Banco Santander, Caja Madrid, and TransMarket Group; consulting firms like CRA International, Frontier Economics, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Oliver Wyman, and Solchaga Recio & Asociados; non-financial companies such as Telefonica; and public sector institutions like the Banco de España and the World Bank, among others.

In the two cohorts, a total of fourteen students have joined PhD programs at CEMFI, European University Institute, London School of Economics, Northwestern University, Stanford University, and University of California Berkeley, among others. In preceding years, our graduates have been admitted to the PhD programs of Columbia University, Harvard University, London Business School, Masachussetts Institute of Technology, University of Chicago, and University of Minnesota, among others.

CEMFI devotes its best efforts to help its graduates find jobs suited to their preferences in first-rate firms and institutions. Students receive information on a wide variety of jobs and are supported throughout their search process.

• Our Placement Office intermediates a high number of job offers for students interested in non-academic professional careers, coming from financial institutions, consulting firms, non-financial corporations, and the public sector.

• CEMFI’s Alumni Association organizes every year a jobs fair, which in the last two years featured presentations by BBVA, Banco Popular, Banco Sabadell, Banco Santander, Boston Consulting Group, Caja Madrid, Frontier Economics, Management Solutions, LECG, NERA, Oliver Wyman, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Solchaga Recio & Asociados.
