The Madrid Macroeconomics Workshop (MadMac) is a Macroeconomics seminar series organized jointly by CEMFI and the Economics Department of Universidad Carlos III. It was created in 1996 with the aim of providing a permanent environment for the discussion of ongoing research in Macroeconomics to the widely scattered community of macroeconomists in Madrid.

Meetings are held on Fridays at CEMFI (aula 2), sharp at 2:00 p.m. Presentations last for one hour and they are followed by 10/15 minutes of discussion.

MadMac is open to everybody interested in Macroeconomics. Anyone may automatically subscribe to or unsubscribe from MadMac's e-mailing list. For subscribing, please send an e-mail message to “imailsrv@cemfi.es”, leaving the Subject blank and writing the following text in the body of the message (with your e-mail address replacing the “xxx@xxx”): subscribe list-madmac xxx@xxx. For unsubscribing, simply replace “subscribe” by “unsubscribe”.

Alternatively, you can subscribe to an ical web calendar version of our seminar list.

At the beginning of each quarter we announce the list of dates of the workshops, which take place roughly every other week. Meetings are also announced electronically at least one week in advance. CEMFI provides sandwiches and soft drinks, so participants are required to confirm their attendance by replying to the announcement email or writing to madmac@cemfi.es.

You are also welcome to attend if you could not sign up in advance, but in that case you are requested to bring your lunch and copy of the paper, should you need them.
