CEMFI hosts the ceremony of the 2016 Bernácer Prize, awarded to Stijn Van Nieuwerburgh

The 2016 Bernácer Prize was awarded to Professor Stijn Van Nieuwerburgh (New York University Stern School of Business) for his influential research contributions concerning housing and mortgage markets, asset pricing, and macroeconomics.

CEMFI hosted the award ceremony on 16 December 2016. The ceremony was chaired by Luis M. Linde, Governor of the Bank of Spain, and it had as speakers Vítor Constâncio, Vicepresident of the ECB, Guillermo de la Dehesa, Chairman of the Observatory of the European Central Bank, and José Antonio Álvarez, CEO of Banco Santander, sponsor of the Prize.
