The JAE Lecture Series was launched in 1997 in a move to help promote applied econometrics. Each year, two lectures are delivered on consecutive days by an eminent speaker. Previous JAE Lecturers have been James Heckman, Peter Phillips, Daniel McFadden, Guy Laroque, Robert Engle, Ariel Pakes, Charles Manski, David Hendry, John Geweke, Robert Porter, and Mark Watson.

 

The 2008 JAE Lectures will be held alongside a Conference on distributional dynamics, with the aim of bringing together micro, macro, and finance empirical perspectives. A programme of the conference follows.
