TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSORSHIPS IN ECONOMICS

CEMFI invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level beginning in September 2012. We welcome applications from all fields of economics.

General Information

CEMFI is a Graduate School that offers highly selective Master and PhD programs in economics and finance. All teaching is done in English. Our faculty conducts research subject to the highest international standards. Research interests comprise empirical, methodological, and theoretical work across diverse fields of economics. CEMFI is a non-profit foundation located in a historical building in the center of Madrid.

Assistant Professors engage in research, supervise graduate students, and teach one to two graduate courses per year (of 45 hours each). A minor review will be conducted at the end of the second year of the contract, and a major tenure review at the end of the sixth year. Starting salary is EUR 60,375 per annum.

Candidates should have a PhD in economics or finance around the date of appointment. Knowledge of Spanish is not required.
